Alan Proto, MD of Green Home Company wrote a letter to Utility Week, an energy and utility weekly publication, about the FIT review and the positive outlook for consumers despite the looming cuts to the FIT levels. He said: "PV brings consumers a £200 annual saving on their bills and provides a 30-year source of free electricity, and with panel costs falling there is room for customers to see a return even under the lower FIT levels". Alan Proto, MD of The Green Home Company was quoted in the Kent Messenger this week, he said: "We believe that solar energy has an important part to play in the future of the UK’s energy mix and while cuts to the subsidy is necessary, there is no question that the Government’s handling of the feed in tariff cut has cloaked the industry in confusion. He was quoted as calling for a "détente between the solar industry and the DECC, which is needed to restore confidence in the solar sector for consumers and investors.
